    Candidates Check-In Time 8:00a.m.

    Ceremony Begins: 9 a.m.

    NOTE: Please plan to arrive at commencement in a timely manner to accommodate wanding/metal detectors at the stadium gates.

    Gold honor cords will be distributed to candidates:

    • 8 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.


    There is a $10 parking fee at the stadium

    Gate Entry 

    • Candidates enter through Gate 6
    • Guests and general public enter through Gates 3 and 5
    • Guests and students with Accessibility Service Needs enter through Gate 4


    • You may bring as many guests as you want. Tickets are not required
    • Animals are not allowed in the stadium except service animals

  • Special Needs
    Graduates with special needs should contact SPC's Accessibility Services at 727-341-3398 to make arrangements at least one week prior to the ceremony.

    Cap and Gown
    Purchase your cap and gown from the Barnes & Noble campus bookstores.

    Regalia/Dress (cap, gown, tassel)
    The day of the ceremony arrive dressed in your cap and gown. The suggested attire for all candidates is business/casual attire. Ladies wear comfortable shoes as the processional is long. Your personal belongings (handbags, keys, etc.) should be secured with a friend or family member.

    Cords and sashes designating membership in student organizations should be picked up in advance. Contact your organization for specific instructions on obtaining this regalia.

    Honor Cords
    Associates and Bachelors candidates are eligible for honors. The GPA used to compute honors eligibility is based on the prior term cumulative GPA and can be found on your unofficial transcript in MySPC. Honor cords will be distributed at Commencement.

    Decorum and Protocol
    The commencement ceremony is a formal event. Decorum and courtesy are very important for candidates and guests. Please use good judgement and celebrate your accomplishment in a way not to disrupt others.

    • Please plan for a two (2) hour program.
    • All candidates and their guests are expected to remain until the entire ceremony is over.
    • Turn off cell phones for the ceremony.

    A professional photographer from GradImages will be on stage to take your picture as you greet the president. To see proofs and order copies of professional photos taken, log in with your last name and the year of the ceremony at GradImages.

    Diplomas will be mailed to the mailing address on your commencement checklist two to four weeks after all graduation requirements are verified and the degree conferred.

    If you did not register for the commencement ceremony, the name on your diploma will be the name in your MySPC student account. Make sure your address is updated and accurate since that is the address your diploma will be sent. Honors designation on your diploma will be based on your final cumulative GPA. All financial holds, including Exit Interviews, must be cleared before the diploma will be released.

    A $15 diploma fee for a duplicate or replacement is required. Contact graduationquestions@spcollege.edu if you have any questions.
