  • Free Classes

    SPC offers tuition fee waivers to full-time employees who have been employed at least six months in a budgeted position. The employee's spouse and eligible children age 23 or younger are also eligible for a maximum of 18 credit hours per academic year. Part-time employees are eligible for fee exemptions for a maximum of 9 credit hours per academic year for the employee only.

  • Achieva Credit Union

    All employees are eligible to join the Achieva Credit Union. An initial deposit of $50 and a completed membership application will open your share (savings) account and establish your membership. You can then participate in a regular savings plan by signing up for payroll deductions. Additional services include checking accounts, summer savings, IRA accounts and more.

  • Direct Deposit

    As an SPC employee, you can use direct deposit for your paycheck in up to three financial institutions.

  • Pre-tax Deductions for Premiums

    The amount you pay through payroll deductions for health, supplemental life, dental, or vision insurance premiums are paid on a pre-tax basis, before federal income or social security taxes are assessed. Premiums for disability insurance are made after-tax.

  • Employee Discounts

    As an employee of SPC, you qualify for a number of discounts from local and national companies. See all the discounts. 

  • Flexible Spending Account

    To help cover the up-front costs of meeting deductibles, employees on the Open Access Select or POS II plans are encouraged to use a Flexible Spending Account. Sometimes referred to as a cafeteria plan, a Flexible Spending Account lets you set aside a certain amount of your paycheck into an account - before paying income taxes - and have access to the full amount on Jan. 1. However, you lose any unspent funds at the end of the year, so estimate your expenses conservatively.
