If you're currently certified in a profession, you can receive up to 15 free academic credits toward certain A.S. degrees at SPC.
Contact the Career and Technical Education Coordinator at 727-341-3198 for more information. You will need to complete a Request for Credit form.
You are not charged a fee and a grade of “P” (Pass) will be recorded for these credits. You will need to enroll in your chosen A.S. degree or certificate program at SPC within 2 to 3 years of earning the certification, depending on the program. Students with a current, valid CDA certificate (National CDA, FCCPC, ECPC) are eligible to apply for FREE articulated credits in the Early Childhood Education A.S. degree.
Once you are an A.S. degree seeking student, have completed 12 college credits successfully (including course EEC 1603 - Early Childhood Development) and have a GPA of 2.0 or better, you will submit the appropriate paperwork to SPC Admissions & Records for processing. Upon verification of all requirements, you will receive credit for the courses detailed below.
