There are many Pinellas Technical College programs that can earn you FREE college credit at SPC. The PTC programs offered cover a wide range of skills and interests from technology and drafting, to dental assisting and medical coding.

If you hold a valid industry certification or professional licensure, you may be eligible to receive up to 15 free academic credits toward specific Associate in Science degrees at SPC.

CAREER CERTIFICATE OR APPLIED TECHNOLOGY DIPLOMA (ATD) PROGRAMS

You can earn FREE college credits at SPC toward certain Associate in Science degree and certificate programs after completing Career Certificate (formerly called Post-Secondary Adult Vocational or PSAV) or Applied Technology Diploma (ATD) programs at other state institutions.

FLORIDA APPRENTICESHIP GRANT PRORGAM

A Registered Apprenticeship is a highly structured training system in which you work full-time during the day for a sponsoring employer, learning the skills of the trade through On-the-Job Training with a journeyworker/mentor. Apprentices earn a progressive wage - as their skills increase, their wages increase, usually every 6 months.

Did you complete a career or technical program in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota or Manatee counties? Do you want to attend St. Petersburg College? SPC is a member of the Tampa Bay Career Pathways Consortium, a partnership between certain secondary and postsecondary schools in the Tampa Bay metro area with career pathways between high school, technical center and state college programs.

You may be eligible to receive FREE college credit at SPC if the program you completed has an articulation agreement in place with Pinellas County high school or Pinellas Technical College.
