Taking care of your teeth not only helps your smile, but your whole body. As a dental hygienist, you are part of a team dedicated to helping patients maintain good oral health.
Our Dental Hygiene Associate in Science Degree program consistently produces graduates who excel on the state and national licensing exam and find jobs in the field. This degree transfers to our bachelor's degree in dental hygiene, which is the first and only baccalaureate program in dental hygiene in Florida and one of the largest degree completion programs in the nation.

Since 2005, 97% of our dental hygiene A.S. graduates have passed the national and state licensing exams.
Continuing success
Between 2012-15, 99% of our dental hygiene A.S. graduates have found jobs in the field, are continuing their education or serving in the military.
Dental Hygiene Clinic
You gain valuable experience as a dental hygiene student at the St. Petersburg College Dental Hygiene Clinic, where you can help provide cleaning and x-ray services to more than 2,500 community members each year. Located at the Health Education Center, the clinic offers a supervised learning environment for Dental Hygiene A.S. Degree students and affordable preventive dental care for residents.

Dental Hygiene Program Partnership at SPC
Students may be enrolled concurrently with an accredited A.S. Dental Hygiene program or follow the traditional pathway into SPC's Dental Hygiene B.A.S. program upon becoming a registered dental hygienist. Dual enrolled students in our Program Partnership are accepted contingent on the recommendation of their A.S. Dental Hygiene Program Director and faculty.
