General Education Areas

  • When you take an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree or Associate in Science (A.S.) degree, you get a foundation in the following general education disciplines. The A.A. requires 36 credits of general education coursework as a foundation for bachelor's degrees at state universities. The A.S. focuses on technical skills for specific careers and requires 15-21 hours of general education coursework.
