Orthotic Fitters are allied health professionals who are specially trained to fit, adjust and modify off-the-shelf orthotic devices. These professionals work in private practice, hospitals, home health care or rehabilitation facility settings.
SPC’s non-credit Orthotic Fitter course prepares you to become an American Board for Certification (ABC) or Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Orthotic Fitter. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in:
To earn the credential of Certified Fitter-orthotic (CFO), you must complete SPC’s Orthotic Fitter course, complete 1,000 hours of orthotic fitting patient care and pass the ABC certification exam.

Mastectomy fitters are allied health professionals who are specially trained to provide post-mastectomy services, such as fitting and providing breast prostheses and accompanying devices. These professionals work in hospitals, home health care or retail settings.
SPC’s non-credit Mastectomy Fitter course prepares you to become an American Board for Certification (ABC) Certified Mastectomy Fitter. Students will acquire knowledge and skills in:
To earn the credential of Certified Fitter-mastectomy (CFM), you need to complete SPC’s Mastectomy Fitter course, complete 250 hours of mastectomy fitting patient care and pass the ABC certification exam.

Register now for Mastectomy Fitter
This combined lecture and laboratory course focuses on orthotic treatment modalities of the lower extremity distal to the junction of the gastrocnemius and the Achilles tendon. Students in this course will receive instruction on the assessment, formulation, implementation, and follow up of an orthotic treatment plan for common foot and/or ankle disorders affecting pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. The student will interact with multiple orthotic systems. This course is an ABC Certified Approved course.
This course consists of 120 hrs total: 40 Hours online course and 80 hours in lab. The online portion must be completed BEFORE the lab.
Upcoming Course (10 consecutive days, includes Saturday and Sunday): Dec. 6-16, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You must attend all lab dates to receive the certificate.
