Numerous resources are available through the business community, especially related to entrepreneurship competitions and events.

  • WorkNet Pinellas - WorkNet Pinellas came into existence in January 2001 under the general direction of Pinellas County. The public-private partnership supports and promotes economic growth through workforce development. Workforce Florida is the principal architect in the state's efforts to develop and retain a highly competitive workforce responsive to the needs of employers. There are three WorkNet Pinellas One Stop Career and Business Centers and 2 satellite Centers throughout the County. There is no fee charged for any of WorkNet Pinellas' services for employers or jobseekers.

  • www.entrepreneurship.org – is a free online international community for building entrepreneurial economies, where entrepreneurs, policy makers, business mentors, investors and researchers come together to promote high-growth initiatives. Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation and the U.S. Commerce Department's International Trade Administration.
  • Toastmasters Meet Up The Toastmasters organization has been around for over 100 years and has helped hundreds of thousands of people all across the world become better communicators, leaders and public speakers. As advocates to the entrepreneurship movement, NACCE acts as a hub for the distribution and incorporation of knowledge and successful practices regarding entrepreneurship education and student business development.

  • Federal Trade Commission - A helpful website (updated daily) that deals with the issues that touch the economic life of every American. Whether it's equal employment opportunities, small business administration, policy planning, national and international affairs, or consumer protection and fair business practices. The FTC website is an all-inclusive resource designed to protect American consumers and business owners. The agency has taken the lead in questionable franchise opportunities, bogus office supply scams, and other practices that prey on aspiring entrepreneurs.   • SCORE.org - SCORE is a non-profit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship, which they have been doing for nearly fifty years.
