Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED)

Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED) trains, counsels, recruits and helps finance ambitious entrepreneurs and growing enterprises. Established and committed corporate, municipal and chamber of commerce partners work with PCED to ensure a pro-business climate for Pinellas County's growing industries. This ideal climate supports local business expansion, so that more and better jobs are created for Pinellas County's citizens.

Pinellas County Economic Development offers an array of incentives, training and assistance, including:

  • Qualified Targeted Industry tax incentive rebates up to $5,000 for each new full-time job created in high tech industries
  • A full slate of continuing business education courses, most at no cost, that range from "How to Start a Business" to "Intellectual Property Law." Many courses are offered in Spanish.
  • Incumbent Worker Training grants to facilitate employee retention and growth
  • Trade missions to open and expand new markets
  • The annual Small Business Lending Fair matching entrepreneurs with lenders
  • Essential working partnerships with chambers of commerce and local municipalities
