Do you want to make an impact on and off campus? How about gaining leadership skills along with marketing and public relations experience? Then you may want to consider becoming a member of SGA. This group of students meets to discuss programs and events, leadership development, and keys to success at SPC. It's a chance to meet new friends, have fun and make a difference.

The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the liaison between the student body and the college administration and provides for participation in college governance. SGA is recognized by the college administration as a representative voice of the student body's interests, concerns, and needs at the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College.

SGA members have the opportunity to travel. Each year, selected members of SGA have the opportunity to represent the Tarpon Springs Campus and take part in the FJCCSGA (Florida Junior Community College Student Government Association) State Convention, which is held in various parts of Florida. The conference is planned with informational general sessions, various workshops, and entertainment/social functions. Members also attend regional meetings and leadership retreats throughout the state. This opportunity affords the student the chance to meet with students from all over Florida.
