Privacy concerns

Your academic records are protected by federal law. For your privacy, transcripts cannot be ordered by email, telephone or fax and they cannot be emailed or sent as PDF’s.

SPC will only issue official transcripts. Official transcripts are printed on security paper and include the college seal and signature of the Director of Admissions & Records. When mailed, transcripts will arrive in separate sealed envelopes stamped across the back flap of the envelope. Make sure the mailing address you provide is accurate as the $5 fee is nonrefundable.

Requesting a transcript after graduation

The degree completion will be reflected on the official transcript as applications are reviewed and posted throughout the processing period. Students should check in MYSPC to see if their
degree(s) have been posted prior to sending transcripts to another institution.

Transcript Processing Timeframe
When ordering a transcript…  Transcripts will be processed
If you check “after grades are posted” 7 days after grades are processed
If you check “after degree has posted” 30 days after grades are processed
If you check “as soon as possible” Next business day

Outstanding holds may delay release of transcripts

Transcripts cannot be released until all SPC obligations are satisfied. Check your holds in MySPC to determine if you have any outstanding financial obligations.

If you have a Stafford loan and are graduating, you must complete Federal Direct Stafford Loan Exit Counseling. SPC will receive the results the next business day. Transcripts cannot be released until this is complete.

Send your transcripts to SPC

High school and college transcripts list all the classes a student has previously taken. In addition to confirming that you are a high school graduate and are eligible to be an SPC student, your transcripts can save you a lot of time and money as you work with an advisor to plan out the classes you need to complete your degree.

High school graduates

To order your transcripts, please contact the high school you graduated from and request that they send us an official copy of your final transcripts. If you are asked to submit your request in writing, please use our transcript request form

College transfer students

To order your transcripts, please contact any college you have attended and request that they send us an official copy of your final transcripts. (Each college has their own process for ordering transcripts.) If you are asked to submit your request in writing, please use our transcript request form.

If you completed an A.A.S. degree or higher at a regionally-accredited institution, we won’t need your high school transcripts. Prior coursework on a college transcript can also exempt you from taking the SPC Placement Test.

Wondering how your college credits will transfer to SPC? Visit www.spcollege.edu/transfer and use our transcript evaluator tool. Please allow 10 business days from the time your admissions checklist is completed for transfer credits to be posted to your record. Login to MySPC to view your To Do List or review your Unofficial Transcript to check the status of your transfer credits.

International students

If you attended a high school or college outside the United States, send your official transcripts to an approved NACES agency for evaluation. The agency will then forward the evaluation to SPC. (Foreign high school transcripts require a document evaluation. Foreign college/university transcripts require a course-by-course evaluation. Both evaluations must be for educational purposes.)
